"Little girl, I say to you, arise!"

Dr. Christy Kass

Dr. Christy is a native of the Kansas prairie, but spent her formative young adult years in the New York City metropolitan area where she attended New York University before completing her undergraduate work at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Florham Park, New Jersey.

She received her Master of Divinity degree from Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Spiritual Formation and a certificate in Biblical Studies.

She went on to earn her Doctor of Ministry degree from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where she graduated with distinction for her work on Jesus and women.

She has served churches in the Pocono mountains, Whitehall Pennsylvania, and is currently the pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Hutchinson, Kansas.

She lives with her husband, glass artist Guy Kass, their cats Dolly and Reba, and their high-intensity Mini Australian Shepherd, Winnie.

Her Calling

Sanctuary for honest questions

Throughout years of pastoral ministry and doctoral research, Dr. Christy recognized how frequently faithful women carry unspoken burdens of theological silence and spiritual fatigue.

Her care is rooted in the conviction that questions are sacred. Rather than prescribing quick answers, she provides an intellectually honest environment where grief, healing, and renewed purpose unfold at their own pace.
